中国人民解放军南京军区,成立于1955年4月1日。南京军区的前身,最早是坚持三年游击战争的南方八省十四个地区红军游击队。1937年7月7日卢沟桥事变爆发后,中国共产党倡导建立抗日民族统一战线,与国民党合作,共御外侮,继红军主力改编为国民革命军第八路军以后,南方八省十四个地区的红军游击队,集结改编为国民革命军陆军新编第四军,即新四军。抗日战争胜利
Nanjing Military Region, People’s Liberation Army, was established on April 1, 1955.
