再论大学ESP课程的师资问题

在学习者和社会的共同需求下,各高校陆续开设ESP(English for Specific Purposes,专门用途英语)课程,ESP已经成为大学英语教学改革的发展方向,这对学校的师资建设和教师的个人发展提出了挑战。目前由于师资等问题,ESP课程教学并不理想。文章介绍了当前各高校ESP课程的开设情况和师资情况,分析了当前承担ESP课程的三类教师的优缺点。从ESP的语言和教学的特点角度提出ESP教师应具有的素质和承担的与普通教师不同的角色,提出解决ESP师资短缺问题的建议,并以中国政法大学的ESP课程为例,探讨了解决当前许多高校ESP课程师资问题和建设ESP师资队伍的方法。 Under the common demand of learners and society, colleges and universities have successively set up courses ESP (English for Specific Purposes), and ESP has become the development direction of college English teaching reform, which puts forward the construction of teachers and personal development of teachers The challenge. At present, because of teachers and other issues, ESP course teaching is not ideal. This article introduces the present situation and teachers’ status of the ESP courses in various colleges and universities, and analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of the three types of teachers currently undertaking the ESP courses. From the ESP language and teaching characteristics of ESP teachers should have the quality and commitment to different roles with ordinary teachers, proposed to solve the problem of ESP teachers shortage advice, and China University of Political Science ESP curriculum as an example, to explore the current ESP in many colleges and universities teacher problems and the construction of ESP faculty approach.
