今天,所有专业工程师,在其整个职业生涯中,对自己和雇主都有义务使知识和技能完全保持在当代的前沿。但这是一项极为困难的任务,因为有关信息在飞速增长。有鉴于此,工程师的教育过程应从大学开始,并继续作为工作的自然辅助手段。尽管使用了许多新技术来改进实施继续教育的方法,但目前的情况却并非如此。为充分利用现有技术和即将实现的新技术,需要对工程师教育的整个过程作进一步的改革。
Today, all professional engineers have an obligation on themselves and their employers throughout their careers to keep knowledge and skills fully on the cutting edge of the present. But this is an extremely difficult task because the information is growing rapidly. In view of this, the education process for engineers should begin with universities and continue to be a natural aid to work. Although many new technologies have been used to improve the implementation of continuing education, the current situation is not the case. In order to make full use of the existing technology and the new technology to be realized, the whole process of engineer education needs to be further reformed.
