A mathematical problem is a situation that can not be solved with readily available mathematical experiences and methods. The “problem” referred to here does not refer to the conventional exercises that are the same type as the textbook examples, but to the open and inquiring questions that are not regular or inadequate in terms of conclusion. These problems can not be directly solved by using the ready-made formula. Instead, we must mobilize the knowledge system we have learned, apply certain thinking strategies, and gradually point the problem goals through certain thinking processes so that the problems can be solved in the exploration.
