By taking full advantage of the controller’s versatility, flexibility, reliability, and high cost-performance ratio, it is possible to develop multi-channel measurement and control systems, which usually use the microcontroller’s interrupt function. In the early 1980s, the MCS-51 series of microcontrollers introduced by Intel Corporation had 32 I/O ports and two external interrupt input ports. Five interrupt sources were divided into two interrupt priorities (8052 had 6 interrupt sources).
