Aristotle as the founder of Western political science, his view of virtue and the rule of law have an important reference for us. Whether it is the rule of virtue or the rule of law, all of his political thoughts point to a common logic, namely, rational rule. However, as different modes of governance, both have their own advantages and disadvantages. Combining Aristotle’s theory of government and government, it can be seen that the rule of virtue and the rule of law occupy different positions in his political thought. Aristotle’s view of virtue and rule of law reflects his fusion of ideal and reality, and adopts different modes of domination according to different situations of ideal and reality in order to realize the good life that mankind can achieve.
