地方政府应以更细致更到位的工作,让民众了解PX项目,以法治思维和法治方式推动发展、化解矛盾,提升政府的公信力近年来,一些民众因怀疑PX项目会造成环境污染、威胁人体健康,先后发起大规模的抗议活动,甚至出现“集体散步”、“上街聚集”、“抗议游行”等过激行为,全国范围涉及PX项目的群体性事件呈现出多发频发之势。最近,广东茂名PX项目引发的群体性事件,再次引起国内外舆论的高度关注。纵观近年在各地发生的PX事件,要么一闹就停,要么迁址复出,这已成为地方政府应对PX事件的惯有模式,这种模式虽一时避免了矛盾激化,但并未真正解决问题,而是还严重影响了政府的公信力。

This mode has not really solved the problem though it has temporarily escalated conflicts , But also seriously affected the government’s credibility.
