民族民间舞,作为民族文化主体精神的结晶,是一个流传广泛、种类繁多、风格各异的文化集合体。作为民族“根性”文化的多元载体,民族民间舞强有力的保存了民族文化的典型心态和样式,地域不分南北,品种不分优劣,层次不分高低。民族民间舞是一个多层次的概念和可伸缩的界面,它可以包容各种程度的加工。民族舞是一个民族的标志物,是一个国家的灵魂。它需要艺术家进行高度的再创造,从民间来最后又回到民间去。民间舞,是由劳动人民在长期历史进程中集体创造,不断积累、发展而形成的,并在广大群众中广泛流传的一种舞蹈形式。民间舞蹈和人民的生活有着最密切的联系,它直接反映着劳动人民的生活和斗争,表现着他们的思想感情、理想和愿望。由于各民族、各地区人民的生活劳动方式、历史文化心态、风俗习惯,以及自然环境的差异,因而形成了不同的民族风格和地区特色。世界上各个国家、各个民族都有各自不同风格特色的民间舞蹈。在欧洲芭蕾舞剧中的民间舞蹈,一般称作代表性舞蹈或性格舞蹈,它是经过舞蹈的专业加工,使其与芭蕾的风格相和谐、统一在一起。

Folk dance in the European ballet, commonly known as the representative of dance or character dance, it is through professional processing of dance, make it and ballet style harmony and unity.
