傅新民先生的作品使我震撼的原因,是他作品的精神内涵。他的这批作品,都是抽象雕塑,主题大多是根雕艺术的惯性延续,是长期企图参透自然奥秘生命轮回的努力的新起点。所不同的是,在根雕里,他只是拜倒在自然的鬼斧神工之下,用人类的谦恭,像对待神明一般地供奉那些天地大美的精华。而在抽象雕塑里,他加入了人的因素。自然力与人力,冲突对抗或协调谐和成激动人心的生命乐章,两者缺一不可。不管是冲突——钢管穿扎或钢筋缠绕着树根,还是协调——树根与钢管钢板互相贴附,它们都使观众联想与思考一个重大问题,那就是人与自然的关系。这样就使得这批雕塑,具有了意味深长的精神内涵,不是简单的抽象构成。
The reason why Mr. Fu Xinmin’s work shocked me was the spiritual connotation of his work. All of his works are abstract sculptures. The theme is mostly the inertia continuation of the art of root carving. It is a new starting point for long-term attempts to penetrate the mysteries of the life of natural mysteries. The difference is that, in the root carving, he just fell in love with the gods of nature, with human humility, like the gods generally dedicated to the essence of those beautiful world. In the abstract sculpture, he joined the human factor. Both natural and manpower, conflict confrontation or harmonious harmony and exciting life movement, the two are indispensable. Whether it is a conflict - whether the steel pipe is pierced with steel bars or the roots of the steel bars, or the coordination of which - the roots are attached to the steel plate, they all make the viewer think and think of a major issue, that is, the relationship between man and nature. This makes these sculptures, has a meaningful spiritual content, not a simple abstract composition.
