在我订阅和看到的报刊中,每发现有明显的差错,出于爱护的心情,我总是要投书予以指出,然而往往是石沉大海。比如,在一份全国性的月刊上刊登的《桂林山水》一文中说:“桂林是广西壮族自治区的首府”。恰好笔者在桂林小住,亲耳听到广西的友人因这个属于常识性的错误提出批评,他们说,南宁市是自治区政府驻地,这是小学生也知道的事。我即投书该刊,但至今七个多月,一不见更正,二不见回音。在另一份发行面很广的内部刊物发表的一篇译文中说:“去年一年,(我国)就有9,000万个
Every time I subscribe to or read newspapers and magazines, I find that there are obvious mistakes. For the sake of love and affection, I always point out that I have to give a vote. However, I often find myself in a dilemma. For example, in a Guilin landscape published in a national monthly magazine, Guilin is the capital of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. Just as I lived in Guilin, I heard my friends in Guangxi criticize this common mistake. They said that Nanning is the seat of the autonomous region’s government. This is what pupils know. I vote for the magazine, but for more than seven months so far I have seen no correction and no reply. In a translation published in another widely distributed internal journal, "In the last year alone, there were 90 million
