五、欧洲专利公约(EPC)欧洲专利公约是西欧七国于1973年10月15已在慕尼黑签订的,1977年10月生效。它是根据巴黎公约(斯德哥尔摩文件)第19条签订的一个专门公约组织,也是专利合作条约指定的国际检索单位和初步审查单位,欧洲专利公约有11个成员国,它们是奥地利、比利时、联邦德国、法国、意大利、列支敦士登、卢森堡、荷兰、瑞典、瑞士和英国。根据条约建立了欧洲专利局(EPO),负责办理欧洲专利的申请、审查和公布。
V. European Patent Convention (EPC) The European Patent Convention was signed in Munich by the seven Western European countries on October 15, 1973 and came into effect in October 1977. It is a specialized treaty organization based on Article 19 of the Paris Convention (Stockholm Document) and is also the designated ISA and Preliminary Examining Authority under the Patent Cooperation Treaty. The European Patent Convention has eleven member countries, namely Austria, Belgium, the Federal Republic of Germany France, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom. Under the Treaty, the European Patent Office (EPO) was established to handle the application, examination and publication of European patents.
