“新概念作文”自从由上海《萌芽》杂志社举办的一次带有“革命性”的作文比赛推出后,历经数年,已经在众多初、高中学生中产生了越来越大的影响。今年以来,笔者由于受聘在一所省属重点中学讲授作文课,因而开始有意识地着手“新概念作文”的研究工作。结合对几所中学学生作文情况的粗略考察,感到客观地对“新概念作文”进行理性的回顾与分析,对于中学语文教学界(特别是作文教学领域),对于广大中学生的作文实践,乃至对于更广范围的素质教育方面,应该是颇具积极意义的事情。故不揣浅陋,直率陈言,以期能获抛砖引玉之效。
