作为碾盘山测区高程控制干线的三等水准,是在左岸无水准基点,而要过两次河把江右的精密水准高程接测过来,再作为四等水准和五等水准的依据。它的精度情况对整个测区(因测区绝大部份在左岸)来说是非常重要的。队里布置此一任务时,要求操作上完全依照苏联测绘局“三、四等水准测量规范”的精神去作。并指定了已查勘过的两处作过河地方(这两处由于中间有沙滩可以利用,故水面宽仅300公尺左右)。为防止河水上涨淹没了沙滩後,使视距过长而影响精度,即先过河後联测。
As the third level of the elevation control meridian of Nuping Mountain, there is no standard point on the left bank, but over the river, the accurate level elevation of the river right is measured and used as the basis of the fourth level and the fifth level.
