视频会议是下一代高速互联网的关键应用技术。该文比较了基于H.323标准和基于IP/multicast的两种视频会议技术,指出后者在系统的可靠性和运行效率等方面具有较大的优势。将IP/multicast视频会议技术用于远程教育的实时授课,提出了综合multicast和unicast两种技术的课堂管理解决方案,并在中国高速网试验平台NSFCNET和CERNET高速主干网上进行多点实时授课系统实验。结果证明:在中国现有高速网上进行基于IP/multicast视频会议技术的远程授课是可行的,基于IP/multicast实时授课系统将会得到广泛应用。
Video conferencing is a key application technology for the next generation of high-speed Internet. This paper compares two video conferencing technologies based on H.323 standard and IP / multicast, and points out that the latter has great advantages in system reliability and operation efficiency. The IP / multicast video conferencing technology is used for real-time teaching of distance education. The classroom management solution combining multicast and unicast technology is proposed. In addition, experiments are conducted on the NSFCNET and CERNET high speed backbone networks in China . The results show that it is feasible to carry out remote teaching based on IP / multicast video conference technology in China’s existing high-speed Internet. The real-time teaching system based on IP / multicast will be widely used.
