第2届索菲亚—卡桑洛克国际中、小提琴制作比赛,于1987年12月1日至14日在保加利亚首都索菲亚和乐器之乡卡桑洛克市举行。来自22个国家的150件乐器参加比赛(被接纳的为90把)。当时在意大利克雷莫纳学习的我国青年提琴制作大师郑荃前往参加了比赛,并一举取得小提琴、中提琴两项总分第一名(金质奖章)。法国音乐家协会还授予他最佳制作工艺奖章。全苏提琴协会授予他最佳声音奖杯。由于他夺得双魁,卡桑洛克市市长特地授予他最高荣誉奖
The 2nd Sofia-Kasin Locke International Violin Competition was held December 1-14, 1987 in Sofia, the capital city of Bulgaria, and Kasangelok, the musical instrument. 150 instruments from 22 countries participated in the competition (90 accepted). Zheng Quan, a young violin maker who studied in Cremona, Italy at that time, went to the competition and won the first place (gold medal) for two total points of violin and viola in one fell swoop. The French Musicians Association also awarded him the best craftsmanship medal. The All-Soto Society awarded him the best sound trophy. Because of his double wins, the mayor of Casals specifically granted him the highest honor
