随着中国的现代化进程的深入发展.随着钢筋混凝土和金属结构的大厦森林般的崛起,城市的人文环境的建设将会越来越成为现代化都市的重要课题,而这其中,环境雕塑将是最为醒目的课题之一。 所谓环境雕塑,是指现实的与我们的生活、工作场所密切相关的空间地域的雕塑,通常称城雕。一座好的成功的城雕,可以使周围的环境“活”起来,成为净化人的精神、陶冶人的情操的生活的公共空间,而一座坏的城雕、是城市的公共“垃圾”。 本刊开辟这一栏目,在于引起广大城雕艺术家的关注,继而积极参与,同时也以此为契机,提高广大读者对城雕的审美鉴赏力,增强对当代都市建筑的人文环境的开拓意识。 这里率先刊发的是成都新意象雕塑工作室的著名雕塑家邓乐的两组环境雕塑作品的片断,尤其是在进行雕塑创作及设计之时的文本,相信会对读者认识环境雕塑的性质及意义起到一定的作用。
