(A) Birth and Death In 1995, about 139 million babies were born globally, and an average mother only had 3 children. Of the babies born, nearly 16 million are in developed countries, 25 million are in least developed countries, and more than 98 million babies are in other developing countries. In 1995, the number of deaths worldwide was 52 million, of which 17 million died of infectious diseases. The number of deaths among children under five years of age in developing countries exceeds 11 million, of which 9 million children die of various infectious diseases. One quarter of them can be prevented by vaccination. About 6.6 million people die of cancer worldwide. About 8.4 million in the world in 1995
