很早就听说瑞典是欧洲乃至全世界最宁静、最幽美的国度,弥漫着浓浓的学术气氛,洋溢着醇醇的文化气息,遍布全国有四十所国际著名的大学院校,象乌普萨拉大学、斯德哥尔摩大学、于默奥大学和瑞典皇家理工学院等等,隆德大学(Lund universty)也是其中最为知名的一所综合性大学。一九九七年秋冬至一九九八年春夏,我以访问学者的身份,在隆德大学生态学系从事合作研究,生活在隆德小镇上和工作在隆德大学里,深为其历史文化的渊源流长,现代与古朴的和谐统一而惊叹!隆德位于瑞典最南端的斯坎纳省,该省自古以来就以文化著称,这里有着瑞典最富饶的土地,也有着瑞典最成功的公司。之所以称隆德为小镇,是因为从行政区划上来说,她是属于斯坎纳省斯坎纳县的一个小城镇,在瑞典最西南端的港湾内,距丹麦首都哥本哈根只有半个多小时的船路。如果乘火车去瑞典最大的城市——首都斯德哥尔摩大约要四到五小时,到第二大城市哥得堡港口约两个多小时,而离第三大城市马尔默只有十五分钟,交通极为便利。隆德人口约有七、八万人,面积不过中国的一般乡镇驻地那么大,但其优越的地理位置、便利的交通条件、悠久的历史文化和对世界的开放性,无不体现出她是一个闻名遐尔的学
