International Association of Hydrological Sciences The International Association of Hydrological Sciences (IAHS) is an international non-governmental organization in hydrology and water science. Founded in 1922, the International Glacier Commission, established in 1894, was incorporated into the association. The International Association of Hydrological Sciences has rules and regulations. Its purpose is to promote academic research on hydrology and water resources, organize discussions, comparisons and publication of research results and to organize and coordinate research projects that require international cooperation.
