As a Jewish American writer, Saul Bellow debuted Jewish issues and issues of identity for the first time in his death of Lavierstein. After the novel’s protagonist Ravierstein is integrated into the mainstream society, his ideological level is still hovering between American culture and Jewish culture, constantly looking for the true identity of himself. The article uses the possibility theory of diaspora diversity and even liquidity in cultural studies to explore the identity / identity issues of American Jews.
