著名學者藏書家傅增湘先生與北京大學有歷史之緣。早在五四運動中,傅增湘先生即因抵制北京政府罷免北京大學校長蔡元培,而辭去教育總長職,從此退出政界。1937年傅增湘先生在李盛鐸先生逝世後,對木樨軒藏書做了全面鑒定,撰寫了推薦購藏的說帖,促進了這批珍貴藏書歸人北京大學。今天,北京大學有幸收藏傅增湘先生親筆題跋和收藏過的大量珍貴古籍中的一小部分。憾於當年編目未盡詳細,尚不能作出全面的統計。已知藏有手稿本二
Well-known scholar bibliophile Mr. Fu Zengxiang and Peking University have a historical edge. As early as the May Fourth Movement, Mr. Fu Zengxiang resigned from the political circles after resigning from the position of chief education officer by boycotting Beijing government’s removal of Cai Yuanpei, president of Peking University. In 1937, Mr. Fu Zengxiang, after the death of Mr. Li Sheng Duo, made a comprehensive appraisal of the collection of books in Muxuan, and wrote the post of recommended purchase, which promoted the collection of these precious books to Peking University. Today, Peking University has the honor of collecting a small part of the collection of rare and precious ancient books by Mr. Fu Zengxiang.
