在中国古代文学漫漫长河中,出现了各式各样的妒妇形象。本文主要以明代戏曲家汪廷讷的《狮吼记》为典型来分析古代文学中的妒妇形象,通过受藜刑、跪池、顶灯等情节来说明古代女子的妒主要是性嫉妒,从柳氏的一系列善妒行为中可以看出女权主义的觉醒,一定程度上改变了“男尊女卑”“男强女弱”的局面,从变羊、冥游等情节总结出妒妇形象悲剧结局的必然性,意味深长。在西归、廷荐中可以看出女性在男性世界中仍处于弱势地位,要想达到真正的男女平等还具有艰难性。
