甘薯瘟是一种土传根茎细菌性病害,推广抗病品种是一项经济而有效的防治措施.选育和鉴定抗病丰产优质的新品种,以适应病区甘薯生产上提出的要求,是抗病育种工作的一项长期任务.目前国内对甘薯品种抗瘟性鉴定主要是在病区的自然条件下进行.此法对品种的农艺性状可作出综合考察,被评定的抗瘟品种便于生产上推广.但鉴定周期长、占地多、费用大,还受土壤菌量和某些年份干旱气候的影响.因而鉴定结果也欠可靠.所以研究出一种简便快速,准确可靠的抗病性鉴定方法,对于加速抗病育种筛选有着重要意义.为此,笔者自1980年起开展此项实验.
