迟子建是当下较特出的女作家 ,与其他女作家和晚生代小说家迥然不同。迟子建于传统审美惯性中找到生长点 ,传统成就了她但也迅速开始淹没了她。为了抵抗无奈而必然的淹没 ,她选择诗意作为特出于传统的舢板和普渡莲花 ,在呓语叙述与记忆的当下怀想中构建自己的艺术世界 ,但似乎仍旧无法避免自我包裹、掩耳盗铃式的归宿。迟子建的困境 ,是单凭记忆和想象力进行创作之途径的困境。这也是当前大量作家生活经验和阅读经验极度匮乏 ,导致想象力处于无根浮游的困境
