Abstract Objective To evaluate the method of automatic quantitative mammary gland volume density (VBD) in breast digitalized body layer fusion (DBT) and to compare the results of fully digitized mammography (FFDM) and MR imaging. Methods This study was approved by Ethics Committee and conformed to HIPAA requirements and retrospectively collected bilateral breast DBT images, FFDM images and sagittal breast MR images of 68 women who screened for breast cancer from October 2011 to September 2012 .
