The 2007 college entrance examination that has attracted worldwide attention has just ended. For candidates and parents, after the college entrance examination, volunteering and college admission have become the focus of attention. However, for the majority of teachers and educators, this year is the second year of the province’s implementation of the autonomy of the college entrance examination. The information and direction of the curriculum reform revealed in this year’s high exam paper is really what they are most concerned about. As the saying goes, “Amateurs watch lively, and insiders look at the doorway.” After the college entrance examination, some teachers and experts in the city analyzed the papers and interviewed reporters. The college entrance examination proposition is increasingly moving closer to the direction of the new curriculum reform. The teachers believe that, from an overall point of view, this year’s college entrance examination in Sichuan meets the requirements of the “Exam outline” and the new curriculum reform, emphasizing the backbone knowledge, focusing on examination of basic knowledge, and linking the theory with practice and paying attention to social hot spots. Some experts believe that from the perspective of student evaluation and selection, college admissions reforms such as self-enrollment and provincial propositions that have been initiated in recent years show that the college entrance examination in China is trying to break the inherent pattern of “a lifetime test” and pay more attention to students. All aspects of development and quality. Perhaps, for schools and students, all-round development, attaching importance to “double basics,” returning teaching materials, and paying attention to society, will truly emerge from the topic and will stand out in the selection of colleges and universities in the future, not just achievements and scores.
