《中国民族音乐》是以中国各民族、各地域的各种体裁形式的音乐为教学内容的一门课程。主要是培养学生的爱国主义精神,弘扬民族音乐文化,但随着改革开放以来,中国的民族音乐受到了来自西方和港台各地流行音乐的冲击,而2004年《音乐课程标准》的颁布,也让该课程有了新的挑战,为了更好的继承和弘扬中国民族传统文化,高校音乐专业的民族民间音乐课程应顺应时代的要求,在教学内容和手段上做一定的调整,在课程中应加入本土民间音乐的元素,让中国民族音乐能更好的发展。
