Objective: To study the effect of different intercalation methods of montmorillonite. Methods: X - ray diffraction (XRD) analysis was used to compare two different methods of mechanical stirring and ultrasonic oscillation. Results: Ultrasonic intercalation of montmorillonite layer spacing than mechanical agitation, and save time.
