1998年7月2日下午3时左右,云南罗平县一无证煤井发生重大瓦斯爆炸事故,造成12人死亡,3人重伤。事故发生后,省委、省政府责成省劳动厅、煤炭厅、公安厅、地矿厅、监察厅、省总工会、省地方煤炭公司等有关部门领导和人员及时赶赴事故现场,协助当地政府抢救伤员,进行善后处理。事故原因正在进一步调查之中。
At about 3 pm on July 2, 1998, a major gas explosion hit a coal mine in Luoping County, Yunnan Province, killing 12 people and seriously injuring three others. After the accident, the Provincial Party Committee and the provincial government instructed the Provincial Labor Department, the Coal Office, the Public Security Department, the Department of Geology and Mineral Resources, the Office of Supervision, the Provincial Federation of Trade Unions, provincial coal companies and other relevant departments and leaders rushed to the accident scene to assist the local government to rescue Wounded, for aftermath. The cause of the accident is under further investigation.
