随着我国铁路从1997年4月1日至2007年4月18日6次大提速至今,铁路建设得到了快速的发展。国内第一个无站台柱雨棚工程北京站无站台柱雨棚于2007年4月18日铁路第五次大提速投入使用以来,国内特等站和一等站雨棚绝大部分均由原先的有站台柱雨棚改扩建为无站台柱雨棚,其最大特点是雨棚主体结构均为钢结构,雨棚整体结构简洁、造型美观,使站台更加宽敞畅通、视野好。改扩建后的火车站成为了各地的标志性建筑,但随着跨度大、超高的无站台柱雨棚使用年限的加长,雨棚的营业线日常维修保养成为了产权单位急需解决的难度,在此对营业线火车站无站台柱雨棚维修技术进行研究。
