港航业的发展作为国民经济的基础部分,在“十一五”期间取得了很大的成绩,实现了从国家的瓶颈发展到现在能满足整个社会经济发展的要求。要进一步提升港口的竞争能力,未来中国港口的发展,更重要的在于建立三大体系,包括综合物流体系、集疏运体系、信息化体系,这三个体系的建立对中国港口乃至中国经济的发展都具有非常重要的意义,是今后港口发展的中心环节。
