Over the past decade, Shanxi ’s advertisement, packaging, building decoration have developed by leaps and bounds. Out came a group of high -caliber professional designers, who have won one after another medals for their designs of advertisement, package, building decoration in competitions at home and abroad. From May 1 through September 9 last year, co -sponsored by Shanxi Advertisement Association, Shanxi Youth Association, Shanxi Packaging Association,tand ShanxitBuilding Decoration Association, Shanxi classical Art Design Competition was held in Taiyuan with the theme: Innovation, Exchange and Blossom. Its aim was to create a platform whereby professional companies and de signers could inter -exchange opinions. And it was the first time for such a large competition to be held locally. This event has got warm response and active involvement from the art design circle, receiving 905 entries of various categories. After pre-liminary examination, 582 entries have been presented to the jury. Adhering to the principles of impartial-ness, sensibleness and the concept of nil-rather-than-make-up-the-number, the jury decided, by secrete ballot, on nine category awards winners, including 16 Classical Awards, 15 Gold Medals, 34 Silver Medals, 85 Bronze Medals and 147 Meritorious Awards.
