重庆市万州国本中学是一所年轻的发展中学校,创办于1996年,原是为解决三峡库区移民子女入学问题而兴建的一所普通初级中学。目前,学校已发展成为一所完全中学,分为国本校区和观音岩校区。近年来,学校秉承“为国为家、德行为本”的办学理念,恪守“有效教研、创新教学、精细德育、人文后勤”的工作要求,形成了“人人搞科研、人人向科研型发展、人人都是校本教研主人”的国本中学特色。
