日喀则地区的寺庙众多,建筑风格各异,寺庙内遗存颇多的文物珍品。扎什伦布寺殿宇毗连、群楼叠叠、金碧辉煌,是历代班禅的驻锡地;夏鲁寺的建筑是藏汉民族艺术的结晶;白居寺是江孜平原上一颗光彩夺目的艺术明珠;萨迦寺在西藏宗教史上占有较高的地位,有“第二敦煌”之称;热拉雍仲林寺是西藏苯教重要寺庙之一;还有珠峰脚下的绒布寺。这些寺庙有的属于国家级,有的属于自治区级重点文物保护单位。 Many temples in Shigatse region, different architectural styles, many artifacts left in the temple treasures.
