2015年,农业部联合国家发改委、国土资源部、住建部等10个部门共同倡导印发了《关于积极开发农业多种功能大力促进休闲农业发展的通知》,为休闲农业与乡村旅游产业发展创造了更好的政策环境。在农业部和国家旅游局的支持下,2010年中国旅游协会休闲农业与乡村旅游分会启动全国休闲农业与乡村旅游星级示范创建工作,2015年底已创建星级企业1000余家,已组织完成对第一批第二批共79家创建企业3年创建到期复查周期工作。
