Objective To investigate the cause of death, the causes of death and the changes of B-ultrasound and electrocardiogram before death in the same group. Methods A total of 103 deaths and deaths caused by 463 deaths among 463 soldiers in a military cadre recuperation hospital during the period from May 1992 to May 2009 were retrospectively analyzed. 58 cases of death in 2009 compared data, a retrospective analysis. Results The top four causes of death in this group were malignant tumor (36.89%), cardiovascular disease (26.21%), cerebrovascular disease (21.36%), other respiratory diseases except lung cancer (hereinafter referred to as other lung diseases accounted for 8.74% ). In the control group, the top four causes of death were malignant tumors, cardiovascular diseases, other lung diseases and cerebrovascular diseases. If the group before the period (1992-1999), after (2000-2009) is divided into A, B two sets of statistics and found that cause of death causes and rank order difference was statistically significant (P <0.05). The abnormal electrocardiogram in 103 cases of this group accounted for 80.58%. The number of liver abnormalities (62.14%) was the most common in abdominal ultrasonography, followed by prostate, gallbladder, kidney and spleen, accounting for 48.96%, 45.63%, 34.95% and 19.42% respectively. According to the time statistics, the differences of liver, spleen and prostate in A and B groups were statistically significant (P <0.05). Conclusion Chronic non-communicable diseases are still the main cause of death in this group of veteran cadres. Malignant tumors, circulatory system and respiratory diseases accounted for 93.20% of the total deaths in this group. The highest incidence of lung cancer deaths was malignant tumors (39.47%), the second was digestive system cancers, and the mortality of other respiratory diseases was Local cadres low.
