Objective To investigate the effect of compound sage root injection on pathology of arthritis induced by collagen II in experimental rats.Method Articular and synovium tissues were routinely fixed,embedded,stained and mounted.Result Pathological changes were mild in sage root group.There were no significant differences in pathology of synovium tissue between groups.Conclusion Compound sage root is effective in protecting and managing CIA model.
