The Tenth Plenary Session of the Eighth Central Committee of the Communist Party of China was held in Beijing from September 24 to 27, 1962. The Eighth Plenary Session of the Eighth Central Committee was presided over by Comrade Mao Tse-tung. 82 members of the Central Committee and 88 alternate members of the Central Committee attended the meeting. 33 other comrades from the Central Government and other Party committees of provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions also attended the meeting. The 10th Plenary Session of the Eighth Central Committee discussed the issue of further consolidating the collective economy of the people’s commune and developing agricultural production.
