在刘少奇、陈毅等新四军军政领导的关怀和支持下,从1940年10月到1945年8月,活动在盐阜区的新四军围绕抗日斗争,积极开展文学、音乐、美术创作和戏剧演出、歌咏等文艺活动,宣传抗日,表现根据地新生活,体现出苏北抗日根据地文化昂扬的主旋律。而且文艺活动形式多样、种类齐全,对抗战斗争和苏北抗日根据地文化活动产生了巨大影响。
Under the care and support of the military and government leaders of the New Fourth Army such as Liu Shaoqi and Chen Yi, from October 1940 to August 1945, the New Fourth Army, active in the Yanfu District, actively carried out literary, musical, artistic creation and theater performances, singing, etc. Cultural activities, propaganda against Japan, the performance of a new base area life, reflecting the main anti-Japanese base area of Su-culture. Moreover, various forms of literature and art activities and varied types have produced a tremendous impact on the war on resistance and on the cultural activities in the anti-Japanese base areas in northern Jiangsu.
