郑和出使西洋是明朝时候我国对外关系的一件大事,也是我国古代航海史上的壮举.讲授郑和下西洋的史实,可以帮助学生全面地看到明朝前期的历史面貌和我国在当时亚洲、世界上的强盛地位,帮助学生了解我国与亚非国家人民友好关系的历史渊源,并对学生进行历史唯物主义观点和爱国主义思想的教育.“郑和下西洋”是中国古代史尤其是对外关系史教学中的重要内容.初中《中国历史》第二册在“郑和下西洋”课题内,讲了三方面的内容:(一)历史背景;(二)经过和内容;(三)历史意义.这三方面内容有机地联系在一起,构成了郑和下西洋历史事件的完整概念.
