省、直辖市体育局官方网站是当地体育权威性信息源,建设与完善自己的网站对体育运动的开展、体育信息资源的贮备和利用、体育爱好者体育信息需求的满足等均有着极其重要的意义。我国多数省、直辖市体育局尚未建立自己的专业体育网站,而已有的体育网站,无论是体育信息的数量和质量,还是信息资源开发利用以及服务,均处在一个较低的水平。如果采取恰当的对策和措施,加快发展的可能性是存在的。
