在2007年12月5日,第22个国际志愿者日,联合国秘书长潘基文就对中国志愿者寄语:“我们坚信2008年北京奥运会志愿者工作一定会推动中国志愿者事业的发展。”同一天,江西的北京奥运志愿者招募宣传活动在南昌八一广场正式启动。入围者需接受涉及语言能力、外语水平、综合知识、奥运相关知识、中国及北京历史文化、文明礼仪知识、心理测试、才艺展示等方面的面试,与面试官以英语进行交流。在近7000名的报名者中,通过层层选拔、精心挑选,江西奥运志愿者团队最终确定了80名奥运会,20名残奥会志愿者。在
