大连金属化学研究所(下简称金化所)是个自筹资金、自主经营、自负盈亏的集体性质的市级科研单位。1984年9月1日成立,现有固定资产60余万元。职工77人,其中科技人员36名。建所以来,先后领办了四个乡镇企业,初步形成了以金化所为核心的、科研先导型的乡镇企业群体,1987年创产值1200万元、实现利税300万元以上,按人均净利润比较,金化所是大连市四个中央所平均值的五倍,而人均固定资产只有其平均值的1/3。金化所的建立没有要国家一分钱投资,它是依靠什么迅速成长的呢?其原因是:金化所在科研工作和经营思想上始终坚持以乡镇企业为主战场,在把科技长入到乡镇企业的同时,从乡镇企业得到科研经费、获得支持,形成科研和经济互相促进的良性循环。
