国务院办公厅最近在转发卫生部、国家民委“关于加强全国民族医药工作的几点意见”的通知时强调指出:发展民族医药事业,不但是各族人民健康的需要,而且对增进民族团结,促进民族地区经济、文化事业的发展,建设具有中国特色的社会主义医疗卫生事业,有着十分重要的意义。卫生部和国家民委在向国务院的报告中提出:为了进一步搞好民族医药工作,当前应重点解决四个问题。一、要充分认识民族医药在社会主义建设事业中的地位和作用。各级政府和卫生、民族工作部门,要把民族医药工作提到议事日程上

In the report to the State Council, the Ministry of Health and the National Civil Affairs Committee proposed: In order to further improve the work of ethnic medicine, it is necessary to focus on solving four problems. First, we must fully understand the status and role of ethnic medicine in socialist construction. The governments at all levels and the health and ethnic work departments must put the work of ethnic medicine on the agenda
