This anxiety led to her feeling she was a stranger to her surroundings at all times. Therefore, she always in the constant pain of seeking spiritual home. The thesis is divided into three parts: the stranger in New Zealand and London, the stranger in the group of Russian exile intellectuals, the stranger hidden behind the poetic line.
