2009.10.4 ~ 9 The 19th International Conference on Nutrition was held in Bangkok, capital of Thailand, Anuals of Nutrition Metabolism 55 (suppl1) contains a summary of the participants. Six abstracts relating to nutrition during pregnancy are now quoted for readers. Background and purpose: Vitamin A (VA) plays a very important role in the early development of pulmonary function in infants and young children. Maternal VA deficiency during pregnancy will have a healthy lung function for the next generation
