大学英语改革后的《大学英语课程要求》对基础阶段的英语能力提出了更高层次的要求,更加强调了听说领先的宗旨。虽然改革后开设了口语课,但是由于课时所限,教师往往无暇顾及口语能力的培养,而且教师在实际教学中更注重读听写译能力的培养,而把说的能力的培养放在次要的位置上,这就导致了当前大学生普遍存在的“哑巴英语”现象。伴随着新大纲的出台,四级统考也开始尝试口语考试,这必定会对大学英语教学产生另一个意义深远的影响,那就是注重口语表达能力的培养。
The College English Curriculum Requirements after the college English reform put forward a higher level requirement for English ability in the basic stage, and more emphasis on the purpose of listening and speaking. Although the spoken language class was established after the reform, because of the limitations of class hours, teachers often have no time to care about the cultivation of spoken language ability. Moreover, teachers in practical teaching pay more attention to the cultivation of the ability to read, write, and interpret, and put the cultivation of the ability of secondary education on secondary issues. Positionally, this has led to the phenomenon of “dumb English” that is currently prevalent among college students. Along with the introduction of the new outline, the four-level general examination also began to try the oral test, which will certainly have another profound impact on college English teaching, that is to focus on the cultivation of oral expression.
