汽车工业的诞生与发展,拓展了人类生存活动的 空间;它加快了物质流、能量流的传输,给人类 社会物质文明的发展带来了效率上的革命。不仅如此,汽车工业本身还是关联度很大的产业,汽车工业的发展将带动钢铁、材料、机械、电子等一大批产业的发展。以汽车工业大国美国为例,美国的汽车制造业消费美国20％的钢材,12％的铝,10％的铜,51％的铅,95％的镍,35％的锌和60％的橡胶。所以有人形象地说,发展汽车工业就是给国民经济安上了四个轮子。
