日前,英国萨里大学(University of Surrey)使用3D打印技术研发成功喷嚏测量仪(Sneezometer)。通过测量喷嚏的速度来诊断各种呼吸道疾病。实际上是它是一个测量速度快,灵敏度高的气流传感器或者肺活量计。众所周知,肺活量计主要用于测定肺活量,常用于各种慢性和急性呼吸道疾病,包括哮喘、阻塞性睡眠呼吸暂停和呼吸功能不全等的诊断。然而,当前的肺活量计设备昂贵、使用繁琐,且灵敏度不高。
Recently, the University of Surrey, UK, developed a successful Sneezometer using 3D printing technology. By measuring the speed of sneeze to diagnose a variety of respiratory diseases. In fact it is a fast measuring, high sensitivity air flow sensor or spirometer. It is well-known that spirometers are mainly used to determine vital capacity and are commonly used in the diagnosis of various chronic and acute respiratory diseases, including asthma, obstructive sleep apnea, and respiratory insufficiency. However, current spirometer devices are expensive, cumbersome to use, and less sensitive.
