马小庆,甘肃兰州人。幼年在临夏回族自治州乡野度过,小城镇生活清贫、快乐,童年的记忆给他留下了无限的遐想和憧憬。小学毕业回城,常随喜欢书画的父亲勾勾画画,自觉乐趣无穷。15岁慈父见背,家庭的重担就落在了刚上高中的他的身上,他被迫停止了学业,为生计奔波。17岁参加工作,由于有一点绘画基础,在西固环卫公司干起了工会工作。在好友陈永锡鼓励下,1983年考入西北师范大学美术系学习国画。
Ma Xiaoqing, Lanzhou, Gansu Province. Childhood in Linxia Hui Autonomous Prefecture Township spent, poor life in small towns, happy, childhood memories left him an infinite reverie and longings. Graduated from primary school back to the city, often with the painting and calligraphy of his father hook painting, self-conscious fun. When his 15-year-old father looked back, the burden of family fell on him who was in high school. He was forced to stop his studies and make a living. 17-year-old to participate in the work, due to a little painting based in West Africa sanitation company started a union job. Encouraged by his good friend Chen Yongxiu, he was admitted to Northwest Normal University in 1983 to study traditional Chinese painting.
